I have to say, the el camino is a four speed with a rev limiter on the motor, but this is funny.

SSGT JOHN BEALE
No, I didn't know John Beale, but he is still my brother. I share this video to remind us that there are places in this country that honor our Servicemen. I am ashamed to say, the last time Portland Oregon had this many people show up, it was for an anti- war/military rally downtown. I shed quite a few tears of pride and sorrow while watching and listening to this video. If it doesn't move you, we as a nation are through.

Travis- Senior National Cavs
Travis's team started slow this year. In fact I figured it was going to be a dismal season. Halfway through they picked it up, they were 2-6, and finished 10-8. Travis battled all season. He was consistent batting #2, and started at 2nd throughout the season. He had his good games and bad, but I tell you what his DAD is PROUD of the effort put forth this year. I never would have believed he was capable of a season this good back when he was in 5th grade.
He will be playing Fall Ball this Fall, and then his final year of baseball unless he makes the Freshman Squad.
His future plans are to go to umpire school, and become an umpire for the league if he doesn't make the High School Team.

Summer 2009 boating
Somehow we have been able to get out in the boat in between all of our baseball games.
Trudy's brother Jeff and his family came up from California and went camping at Detroit Lake with us. We fished and towed the kids around on the tubes. I even water skied for the first time since I was 15. I forgot all the different muscles it uses and suffered for it the next few days.
Portland had a pretty hot day on July 3rd so we went out on the Columbia river for a while. The water was nice early, but got real choppy toward the end of the day. We have a few more camping trips planned, and I will post more pics soon.

Clackamas Midget National Baseball 2009
Well, baseball is finally over for Tyler and I. Our team won 9 lost 2 and tied 1. We placed 8th in the county out of 45 teams. We had to play two qualifying games to reach the county championship tournament. We won our first game, but lost the second one. I went to watch the championship game today, and I truly believe on their best day my team could compete with the two teams playing.
Tyler was my number two/three pitcher depending on the rotation. He played short stop and third base. He also had the second best batting average on the team. While he is no all-star, he definitely has potential, he is very coach-able and learns quickly. While we are sad we didn't make it all the way to County and then State, the team should be very proud of themselves. I hope my players can look back at this year and remember it as the year they fell in love with baseball.
I'll coach again next year, and hopefully be as successful as we were this year.

PEACE OUT!!!!!!!!!

All IS PEACE FULL.
I am helping out Travis's coach in the dugout when suddenly I see Taylor running up with a cute white top emblazoned with sequins with the shape of a peace sign, giant and right smack dab in the middle. W T F !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't wish for war at any time, but this sign is relative and derived from the 60's and the anti military movement. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some well meaning but thoughtless neighbor passed this little treasure down to my daughter to wear. Being from OREGON, the HIPPIE capital of the world, my wife thought nothing of it. SOOOOOOOOOO, in the second inning I tell Trudy that shirt will be burned before the night is through. HOLY SHIT BATMAN!!!!! HOLD THE PHONE! FELONY IN PROGRESS!!!!!!!!! Libtards in the stands just couldn't understand the significance of this anti military sign. Ohhhhhhhh, but it's for PEACE, FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. It is 100% Anti Military with absolutely nothing to do with relations between nations, and my family will not wear it with my consent.
So with little back up I debate the meaning of such a useless and inflammatory sign. One more indication of the lack of real life education some of these college libtards possess. May my guns save their asses one day................DOUBTFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
